Move It at London Olympia
As with last year’s concept the stand was an island site, open on all four sides. As in previous years, we had to include an active dance floor, PA systems, storage and a product display of ballet bars along with a sprung floor. General brand exposure and lifestyle dance shots also played a key role in the design.
Design & build process
Accessibility for visitors and dancers is key to successful stand design for Move-it. Harlequin operated a compact and comprehensive programme of all types of dance events through the course of the show, hence the required openness of the stand.
Using our large format rear-illuminated light frames, double-sided, we were able to create two large imposing illuminated columns and ample storage.
Forming a covered central area, they framed the dance space and allowed us to control the general lighting of the dance area.
Build time was restricted to one day this year! So co-ordination and co-operation with all the onsite services were key. HDL were able to complete and hand-over the stand on time and on budget. After the show had ended, pull-out to storage for re-use also went without a hitch.
